Our history is full of stories of the many kehilos (communities ) that, when given the option, chose to remain loyal to their belief and sanctify Hashem's Name by perishing al kiddush Hashem.The soil in Europe is literally saturated with Jewish blood. This book describes one of the eras (tach vetat -1678-9) where terrible gezeiros and massacres took place and the holy martyrs that refused to surrender to the "mighty" sword of their persecutors.
